Frequently Asked Questions
I encourage clients to ask any questions they may have at the beginning of treatment and throughout our work together. Listed below are some frequently asked questions.
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION LAST?
Therapy sessions are usually 50 minutes long. The first session is 75 minutes, as this session is an opportunity for you to ask questions you may have and to share information about your current challenges, your history, and your goals for treatment.
DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE RATES?
Sliding scale rates are not offered at this time. Payment is due in full at the beginning of each session and cash, check or credit cards are accepted (there is no service fee for paying by credit card). You will receive a monthly superbill and you can submit that to your insurance provider for out-of-network reimbursement.
DO YOU ALSO PROVIDE FAMILY OR GROUP INTERVENTIONS?
A parent, spouse, or other family member may be invited into therapy in certain situations. If that is something that would be helpful, we will plan together how you would like to include a family member in a session.
Group treatment and support groups may be offered in the near future. Please check back for updated information.
WHEN CAN I EXPECT A RETURN CALL WHEN TRYING TO SCHEDULE AN INITIAL CONSULTATION?
I will contact you within two business days to discuss your interest in starting therapy. Please be sure to provide your full name, phone number, and preferred times for contact when leaving a voicemail.
